O.K. Theory
Organised Kaos Youth Circus Ltd is a youth and community circus based in Llanfair Church Hall in Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen.
KAOS – Keeping adolescents off the street, was set up on a Friday night to tackle the high levels of arson and anti social behaviour in the upper Amman valley South Wales.
By providing a safe space, we have introduced a challenging skills based arts provision in an area where previously there was none.
Through developing strength, co-ordination, and communication, we provide an exciting platform for young people to master a variety of circus skills, from one to one toy manipulation, aerial and balance props, to developing physical strength, self confidence and stamina through the project's emphasis on performance.
We deliver training in a wide range of circus performance techniques and facilitate co-operative fire shows involving professional performers working alongside our youth troupe. All the skills learned and developed on the project are transferable to everyday life.
O.K. promotes diversity and equality; we are inclusive in our practice and have a zero tolerance policy towards bullying.
